Michigan State University has published the PhD thesis of Daniel Jesus Puentes, titled: “High-Precision Mass Measurement of 24Si and the Development of a CID Gas Cell (CIDGC)”.
Silson’s silicon nitride membrane was used as the entrance for the CIDGC. The thesis reads: “The presence of the Si3N4 serves as a gas barrier and is thin enough to be penetrated by low-energy ions with kinetic energies of a few 10’s of keV. The Si3N4 is created by Silson Ltd. and is mounted with a Loctite 9492 low-outgassing adhesive on custom machined mini ConFlat (CF) flanges”. You can read more about our mounted membranes at this link.
