Science Advances have recently published an article in December 2021 about nonequilibrium kinetics.
The abstract of this article concludes: “this study demonstrated that ultrafast photoexcitations of electrons provide an efficient strategy to induce hidden material phases by overcoming thermodynamic barriers via nonequilibrium reaction pathways”.
For the single-particle x-ray diffraction experiments, spherical nanoparticles were mounted onto Si3N4 membranes, custom-designed by Silson. To read more about the membranes we manufactured, and more about the research and results overall, please follow this link!
